With decades of experience collectively in the industry, you’re in safe hands with ABLE.
Our founder, Matt Holtom started his career in the trade back in 2004, working his way through his plumbing apprenticeship, finishing in 2006. Fast forwards a few years, Matt went onto complete his gas qualification allowing him to work within the residential and commercial gas world as well as the world of catering.
Due to poor pay rates at the time, Matt took a career break from plumbing and gas and went on to work with Carillion Plc for 5 years on the highways, gaining his crane, digger and lorry license and more money. During his time at Carillion Plc, Matt continued to work privately for friends and family doing plumbing and gas works, sometimes working 20-hour days, to build up enough of a customer base to start his own plumbing & gas business.
Bring on 2008 when Matt left Carillion Plc and went to work as a self-employed plumbing and gas engineer, nurturing his existing customer base and developing new organic relationships to help build his business. Kicking off 2012, ABLE Plumbing was created with a mission of creating a work force who share the same values as himself, passion, pride and diligence. ABLE was founded on the foundation of quality workmanship, ethics and providing an unparalleled customer experience. Some would say the old fashioned way.
Based on Matt’s work and reliability, Able have built up a reputation for one of the most trusted and reliable plumbing & gas companies in Milton Keynes. Matt continues to work on the tools, leading the team from the front ensuring the company’s continued success. Passion, pride and diligence are the fabric of ABLE.

Career: Matt studied Plumbing & Heating at Moulton College in 2004 and has subsequently achieved additional qualifications including commercial gas, catering, tumble dryers and legionella risk assessments.
When he’s not at work: Matt loves to get out on the golf course or jump on his mountain bike. Enjoys all types of motorsport especially F1. Loves spending free time with his little boy and new born girl.

Career: Terry is a highly experienced engineer and has such a wide range of skills.
When he’s not at work: Terry enjoys spending time with his family and children while not at work.

Career: Jaime has a great knowledge of both domestic and commercial systems and loves diagnosing and resolving system issues in a methodical manner.
When he’s not at work: Jaime swaps his work kit for leathers and gets out on his motorbike.

Career: After serving in the Armed Forces, he then trained and qualified to become a plumbing, gas and heating engineer. Since then, Jon has carried out additional training to become qualified to work on LPG and Oil systems.
When he’s not at work: Jon enjoys Mountain biking and taking his kids to sports activities.

Career: Andy has spent many years working in plumbers’ merchants where he gained a vast knowledge of parts and systems. He now has the experience to manage all of our parts and stock for jobs along with visiting customers’ properties to quote for works and manage them through to completion.
When he’s not at work: You’ll find Andy on the pitch playing football.
